Job Description:   **Sonographer Cardiac, Cardiopulmonary Services, Days, Full Time** **Description** Performs adult two-dimensional echocardiographic and doppler studies, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, biopsies, stress testing, EKG’s, and assists the Cardiologists in formulating the final interpretation of these studies. Responsible for the daily operational activities to include processing of test results, charting, billing and filing. Maintenance of equipment and work areas. Follows Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards per department exposure control plan. **Qualifications** **Education:** High School diploma or GED. **Required Experience:** Solid knowledge of circulatory system, anatomy, physiology of the heart, recognize and identify cardiac pathology **Skills:** Adult 2-D echocardiography, adult transesophageal echocardiography, basic patient care, blood pressure monitoring, electrocardiography, stress testing, CPR, basic computer skills. * For those hired after November 14, 2016, KentuckyOne Health will verify education required by the position, through primary source verification, prior to beginning employment.
