Job Description:   **Pharmacist-Specialist Clinical, Pharmacy, Days, Full Time** **Description** The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes for patients. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will assist in the planning and direction of clinical pharmacy services to achieve optimal medication therapy outcomes. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will participate in development of new programs, services, practices, and facilitate scholarly and professional development activities in their area of expertise. Major job responsibilities include: The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert collaborating with pharmacy management in the development, coordination and implementation of clinical pharmacy services at Jewish Hospital. Responsibilities include the design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and coordination of activities associated with the provision of safe, effective and affordable pharmacotherapy for all patients. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will work with management to ensure implementation and compliance of policies and procedures within clinical practice. **Qualifications** Graduated from an Accredited College of Pharmacy Licensed or license eligible as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky Training/Experience: Post-Graduate Year 2 (PGY-2) Specialty Residency required plus 3 years of experience in specialty area OR Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency required plus 5 years of experience in specialty area OR Minimum of 10 years of experience in specialty area Current Board certification by Board of Pharmacy Specialties® within area of expertise if available, otherwise general board certification required Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification or must obtain within 90 days from date of hire and maintain active certification **Job** Pharmacy **Primary Location** KENTUCKY-LOUISVILLE-JEWISH HOSP 200 ABRAHAM FLEXNER **Daily Schedule** 1 **Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period** 80 **Weekends Required** Occasional **Req ID:** 2017-R0135257
