Job Description:   **Chemistry Section Lead - Laboratory (6am-2:30pm) Full Time** **Description** Under the supervision of the Pathologist and the Laboratory Director, the Section Leader is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all the functions within the Laboratory, including testing, staffing, training, maintaining supplies, and ensuring that the department meets all standards set forth by CAP, JCAHO, Medicare, and AABB. The Section Leader must ensure that services are of the best quality, are cost contained, are carried out in an expeditious manner, and the Supervisor must have the ability to recognize results or problems that require referral to the laboratory Pathologist or laboratory Director. The Supervisor must follow all hospital safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Report immediately all accidents / incidents and unsafe conditions to the Pathologist, or Director. **Qualifications** + MT or MLS (ASCP) certified + Bachelor Degree in Science required + 5 years of clinical hospital lab experience required + 1 year of clinical training from an accredited school of medical technology required + Previous supervisory experience preferred **Job** Laboratory **Primary Location** TEXAS-LAKE JACKSON-BRAZOSPORT REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM **Daily Schedule** FTE **Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period** 80 **Weekends Required** Every Other **Req ID:** 1700000611
