Job Description:   **Inventory Tech- Mercy Logistic Center- Mercy Medical Center FT (7:30am-4:30pm)** **Description** **Job Summary / Purpose** _Duties include management of inventory as it relates to picking products, replenishing, requisitioning, shipping and receiving. Duties are not limited to the supply room, but extend to all areas of the hospital. Responsible for pulling products for cases as assigned. Inventory technician assures that supply areas are organized, maintained, and par levels are optimized to support department demands._ **Essential Key Job Responsibilities** _1._ _Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory supporting accurate inventory levels, generating orders/requisitions as needed_ _2._ _Distributes medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, while monitoring par levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established in order not to affect patient care_ _3._ _Identified excess inventory, returning stock and processing credits_ _4._ _Notifies supervisor of outdates or slow moving inventory_ _5._ _Participates in the put away and validation process of perpetual inventory items; issues and credits materials from the inventory management system_ _6._ _Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations, and labeling bins and handling requests to change pars_ _7._ _Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed_ _8._ _Works with and follows instructions of buyers and Divisional Inventory Coordinator in the event of recalls to pull relevant products_ _Other duties as assigned by management_ **Qualifications** + High school graduate, GED or equivalent + One(1) year supply chain related experience or other relevant experience + Abilityto communicate clearly and concisely, summarizing analysis in reports withminimal supervision + Stayson task and meets deadlines + Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook + Basic knowledge of Lawson system + Knowledge of automated ERP systems and processes + Ability to process and present data clearly **Job** Supply Chain **Primary Location** IOWA-DES MOINES-MERCY MEDICAL CENTER **Daily Schedule** 730-430 **Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period** 80 **Weekends Required** None **Req ID:** 2017-R0134467
