Come join our team! **Job Summary:** Plans, administers, and conducts the programs and services of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program in accordance with the mission and vision of Franciscan Health System (FHS) and in collaboration with the FHS Spiritual Care Team. An incumbent has responsibility to ensure the CPE program maintains its national accreditation. Work also includes oversight for program budget and planning, directing and evaluating the work of subordinate staff, students and interns. **Essential Duties:** + Plans, implements, manages and evaluates the programs and services of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). + Maintains the standards of CPE Programs to ensure their national accreditation by the NACC and ACPE. + Develops and manages the CPE budget and ensures effective expense control and optimum resource utilization. + Develops and provides leadership to a committee of health care professionals and qualified community representatives with responsibility for evaluating and continually developing programs of CPE that contribute to the mission of the system. + Serves as an educational consultant for system staff as necessary. + Plans, directs and evaluates the work of CPE professional staff, CPE residents and interns. + Cultural Sensitivity and Competence: Demonstrates proper use of communication tools/materials for effective communication and understands how the culture(s) of patient populations can affect communication, collaboration and the provision of care, treatment and services. Patient Population Served: Demonstrates knowledge and proper skills associated with the department’s defined specific populations served. **Qualifications** **Education/Work Experience Requirements** + Master’s degree in Theology, Pastoral Studies, or Master of Divinity (M.Div), and three years of recent related work experience in conducting and managing clinical pastoral education (CPE) programs. **Licensure/Certification** + Certification as a CPE Supervisor by a nationally-recognized certifying body, i.e., the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC). **Job** Spiritual Care **Primary Location** WASHINGTON-TACOMA-ST JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER **Daily Schedule** 8am to 4:30pm **Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period** 80 **Weekends Required** None **Req ID:** 2017-R0135574
