Job Description:   CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE CHAIR, DEPARTMENT OF ANESTHESIOLOGY The Creighton University School of Medicine and CHI Health invite applicants and nominations for Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology. The major responsibilities of the Chair are to promote high quality clinical care, teaching and scholarship by faculty, residents, and students. The Chair provides visionary leadership that enhances existing programs and drives the development of new initiatives. Applicants should have an M.D., be board certified, and have credentials consistent with the academic rank of Professor Tenure track. The successful candidate must have a record of distinguished clinical, scholarly, and administrative accomplishments highlighted by an active clinical practice, a well-defined area of expertise within the specialty, academic leadership, publications in peer-reviewed journals, and a track record of scholarship supported by extramural funding. The School of Medicine is one of nine schools or colleges at Creighton University including professional schools of Business, Law, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Health Professions, and a Graduate School. Founded in 1878, Creighton University is a Catholic, Jesuit institution with an enrollment of approximately 8800 students.
