The EMT provides safe transportation of patients and crew while working closely with other certified associates to deliver quality patient care. **Columbus Connection is the provider and employer of choice!** + Flexible schedule + Competitive compensation plus incentive bonus opportunities + Comprehensive health care benefits and wellness program + Free CEUs + Tuition reimbursement (based on employee class) **Responsibilities** + Provides appropriate patient care in accordance with policies, procedures, protocols, and written physician orders. + Communicates effectively and appropriately with facilities involved in the patient’s care, including giving and/or receiving a complete report of the patient’s condition and care plan. + Operates vehicles in a safe and courteous manner at all times. Complies with all Transport department and corporate policies relating to driving company vehicles. + Respects and protects Transport equipment and property from damage, loss, or theft. + Completes a daily inventory vehicle maintenance checklist as required and immediately reports any malfunction. + Assists partner in maintaining the cleanliness and professional appearance of vehicles. Cleans, refuels, and restocks ambulance at the end of every shift. + Accurately completes and submits clinical run reports and other necessary paperwork for transports. + Cooperates and works as a team with our dispatchers. Accepts transports without complaining, responds without delays, arrives on time, and completes transports in an efficient and timely manner. **Qualifications** + Current State of Ohio EMT certification (Kentucky and/or Indiana as requested/required by Clinical Coordinator or Director of Operations). + Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification. + Current unrestricted driver’s license. + Six months experience as an EMT preferred. + Six months experience driving an ambulance preferred. + Ability to do heavy lifting.
