Job Description:   **Medical Lab Technician - PRN - Evenings** **Description** Patients Medical Center (PMC) provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms, and offers a range of primary and specialized services—wound care, general surgery, gastroenterology, occupational health, heart and vascular, women’s services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehab services, and sleep disorders. **POSITION SUMMARY** Accurately analyze and report all tests ordered by the Medical Staff in a timely and efficient manner to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. **Qualifications** **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** **Education and Licensure** **Required:** Associate’s Degree Certified as MLT **Minimum Experience** None required **Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** Strong organizational skills Ability to communicate with others **POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES** 1. Performs and results test procedures on patient specimens adhering to the Section's Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accurate, timely reporting 2. Ensures that major automated equipment is operational by performing required maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting procedures 3. Performs required Quality Control procedures and Maintains records to ensure tests are being performed within control limits 4. Participates in opportunities for continuing education and/or teaching, training according to the Section Performance Standards to enhance technical skills 5. Responsible for inventory of all supplies 6.
