Job Description:   **Lab Assistant II - Mercy East Family Practice and Urgent Care PT .5 (Day/Evening)** **Description** Under general supervision, performs research activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment. * Assist lab technicians with operation of analyzers. * Record observations and measurements. * Clean, disinfect and maintain cleanrooms and equipment. * May perform minor repairs to laboratory apparatus. * Assist with receipt and inspection of raw materials. * Stock materials and equipment. * May perform lab testing in waived or moderate level complexity labs. * Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required. * 2 years work related experience required. * 1 year Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant experience preferred. * Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field. * Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. **Job** Laboratory **Primary Location** IOWA-PLEASANT HILL-MERCY EAST FAM PRAC URG CARE **Daily Schedule** Day/Eve **Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period** 40 **Weekends Required** Occasional **Req ID:** 2017-R0132012
