Patient Transport Services is a company within CHI Health at Home, a home based health services organization. The nation’s third-largest nonprofit health system, CHI operates in 17 states and comprises 102 hospitals, including three academic health centers and major teaching hospitals as well as 30 critical-access facilities; community health-services organizations; accredited nursing colleges; home-health agencies; living communities; and other facilities and services that span the inpatient and outpatient continuum of care. **Responsibilities** + Supports CHI Health at Home’s Mission, Values, Strategic Goals and high standards of customer service. Consistently lives “People First” behaviors. + Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program, including Confidentiality of HIPAA protected health information. + Provides appropriate patient care during transport and gives full report to clinical personnel at receiving facility. + Provides, assists with, and documents direct patient care within the scope of practice and policies for the Partnership in Care Programs at partner sites. + Operates vehicles in a safe and courteous manner at all times. + Completes a daily inventory vehicle maintenance checklist as required and immediately reports any malfunction. + Assists partner in maintaining the cleanliness and professional appearance of vehicles. + Cleans vehicle at the end of every shift. + Accurately completes clinical run report on all transports. + Demonstrates sensitivity to patient, family and other customer needs, customs, and feelings. + Maintains confidentiality of client information. + Attends scheduled staff meetings. + Follows policies and procedures of the company. + Arrives at scheduled time and completes transports in a timely manner. + Maintains a good attendance and tardy record per organizational policies. Reports absences to supervisor prior to the scheduled start time. + Attends all mandatory education offerings. + Maintains availability requirements. + Performs other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + Current State of Ohio EMT Paramedic certification. + National Registry within 6 months of employment. + Current ACLS certification. (Current PALS for MICU) + Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification. + Six months experience driving an ambulance preferred + One year service experience as a Paramedic. Service with a Fire Department, EMS or private service desired. + Current driver’s license. + Ability to do heavy lifting. **Our Commitment To You** We have a tremendous responsibility to the people we serve.
