The Positive Airway Pressure Fitter will be a key member of the clinical team supporting accurate and timely set up, fitting and client instruction on the use and care of respiratory sleep management equipment such as: c-pap, bi-pap, and related products. The PAP Fitter serves as a representative of CHI Health at Home HME, and conveys to the customer a sense of expertise in our services and capabilities, and serves as a key educator to customers. The PAP Fitter is also responsible for communicating customer requirements to the service team, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Supports CHI Health at Home’s mission, values, strategic goals and high standards of customer service. Consistently lives People First Behaviors. 2. Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program, including confidentiality of HIPAA protected health information. 3. Deliver and set up respiratory sleep management products to clients. 4. Consult with physicians and other healthcare staff to help develop and modify individual patient care plans. 5. Provide thorough product education and supporting written documentation to clients in accordance with established company procedures and high customer service standards. 6. Problem solving sleep management equipment malfunctions. 7. Perform checks of respiratory sleep management equipment and on clients. 8. Process paperwork thoroughly in accordance with company procedures. 9. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24 hour, 7 day a week service to our clients if required. 10. Reports customer related changes and concerns to supervision. 11. Works with management to form long-term and short-term strategic plans. 12. Participates in surveys made by authorized governmental agencies. 13. Maintains ongoing liaison with location staff. Attends meetings with supervisors at routine intervals. 14. The PAP Fitter works with other associates and, together, all are accountable for meeting the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and sales goals of CHI Health at Home HME. The sales and strategic marketing activities will be designed to achieve these revenue goals. In turn, the PAP Fitter is essential in meeting company goals: a) Maintains ongoing relationships with case managers, physicians, other ancillary providers, clinical, billing and sales staff and utilizes product knowledge and availability to be responsive and resourceful. b) Guarantees satisfaction and value for our customers. c) Contributes to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth. d) Maintains personal productivity and quality standards that make possible attractive financial returns for the company and associates. e) Control costs by being efficient. 17. Carries out all other responsibilities assigned. Qualifications: 1. Credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner CRTT, RRT, RPSGT, or LPN required. 2. Experience working in home healthcare or sleep diagnostic studies is preferred. Knowledge of the equipment used and proper fitting for applying CPAP and BiLevel therapy and oxygen concentrators is required. 3. Current CPR certification and ability to perform CPR. 4. Current valid license in state(s) the branch operates in. 5. Three years respiratory care experience preferred. 6. Excellent communication, training and persuasive abilities. Must have the ability to converse in a knowledgeable manner and effectively present information when instructing patients and others on the use of equipment. Strong customer service skills and orientation. 7. Strong critical thinking, judgment and decision making skills. 8. Must be able to lift/move up to 60 pounds and be able to walk, push, pull, grasp, bend, stoop, squat and reach as necessary. Must have dexterity to assemble masks, headgear, and tubing and operate controls on DME equipment provided. Specific visual ability requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, hand-eye coordination, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to retrieve, communicate and present information in a written, oral and visual manner. CornerStone Medical Services is a company within CHI Health at Home.
