Job Description:   **EQUIPMENT TECH (Respiratory Care) Part Time - 7a-7p (2510002200)** **Description** JOB SUMMARY: Performs equipment reprocessing, routine supply function and equipment maintenance for the Respiratory Care Department. The Equipment Technician is continually required to work in settings requiring exposure to unpleasant conditions and significant biological hazards, closely following infection control guidelines. **Qualifications** **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** **Education:** + High School diploma; + One year of college, preferably respiratory therapy and Science background preferred. **Experience:** + One year of related experience is desired. **Licensure or Certification:** + American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required **Equipment:** + Meditech Computer Training, Dryers, Calibration Analyzer, Set up calibrates/checks performance of ventilators, analyzers, manual resuscitators, organizes supply rooms, restocks all respiratory supply areas on the floor/ICU/ER areas and bronch cart, changes/restocks oxygen tanks, maintains AED machines, cleans/restocks respiratory equipment etc. **Skills:** + Good communication and organization skills. **Additional Responsibilities** : + Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times. + Adheres to and exhibits our core values: **Reverence** : Having a profound spirit of awe and respect for all creation, shaping relationships to self, to one another and to God and acknowledging that we hold in trust all that has been given to us. **Integrity** : Moral wholeness, soundness, uprightness, honesty and sincerity as a basis of trustworthiness. **Compassion** : Feeling with others, being one with others in their sorrows and joys, rooted in the sense of solidarity as members of the human community. **Excellence** : Outstanding achievement, merit, virtue; continually surpassing standards to achieve/maintain quality. + Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times + Adheres to organizational and department specific safety standards and guidelines. + Works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members. + Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, residents, visitors, staff and the broader health care community. _Catholic Health Initiatives and its organizations are Equal Opportunity Employers.CBCHI_ **NOTICE** _This position requires a criminal background check.
