Job Description:   **SUPERVISOR-CARDIAC CATH LAB (SV INFIRMARY), CARDIAC CATH LAB, FULL TIME, DAYS** **Description** JOB SUMMARY : Ability to perform all clinical functions of cath lab technologist I. In addition, acts as team leader for cath lab. Determine daily assignment of staff and coordination of cath lab room schedule. Assists in training & evaluating of assigned personnel. Assist department leadership in ensuring department specific quality controls, clinical in-services, annual competencies, and patient safety initiatives are conducted in accordance to department policy. Responsible for other task as assigned by Cath Lab Director. 1. Team Leadership Assuming responsibility for completing team goals Supports department director with daily staffing and patient flow facilitation Supports leadership with daily, weekly, and monthly quality control reporting Supports leadership with patient safety initiatives Supports leadership with development of monthly call schedule Works collaboratively with physicians, co-workers, and administration Coordinates department specific competencies, in-services, and department orientation Supports leadership with community education and PR initiatives. Effective time management. Serves as a preceptor & role model for other staff 2. Patient Care Recognizes both physical & emotional needs of patient Capable of crucial decisions in emergent situations. Provide leadership that results in customer focused practices 3. Assist physicians Implement physicians orders / alerts physician of changes in patient condition Constantly demonstrates sterile techniques according to policy. Responsive to physicians needs while utilizing resources in a cost-effective manner 4. Equipment Knowledge Participates in CQI checks & assures customer safety. Ability to look at alternative methods before deciding on repairs Actively educates self & others to provide quality service 5. Record Management. Respecting & maintaining confidentiality Assume responsibility for accurate analysis of patient information Handles scheduling assignments according to department policy 6. Communication Assuming the initiative in problem solving. Providing & accepting feedback constructively Presents oneself in a professional manner. **Qualifications** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education: Registered Allied Health Professional or Registered Nurse. Current BCLS & ACLS certification. Has passed advanced cardiovascular registry through ARRT or CCI (RCIS). Experience : 4 yrs. Cardiac Cath Lab experience Physical Requirements : The physical activities involve balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, and use of fingers and repetitive movements. An individual in this position may be required to carry or lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 100-150 lbs. The sensory and communicative activities required for this position include feeling, hearing seeing, smelling, and speaking. Individuals in this position should possibly to inside/outside environmental conditions, blood borne pathogens and body fluids chemical hazards, respiratory hazards and radiological hazards. Skills : Possess demonstrated leadership, knowledge of new supplies & procedures proficiency in performance of cardiovascular testing. Must possess excellent communicative & critical decision making skills.
