Job Description:   **MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN** **Description** This position works 64-80 hours per pay period: 8 hour shifts for all shifts, every other weekend and rotating holidays. The person serving in the position of MLT is responsible under direct or indirect supervision, for performing pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical tests covering the full range of laboratory analysis in an accurate, timely and cost efficient manner. The MLT must properly collect, handle, process and store specimens and operate instruments that are computer integrated and use computerized information systems. Laboratory technicians recognize abnormal or unexpected patient or quality control results and initiates corrective actions according to policy/procedures, seeking assistance when needed. The MLT will also assist with other laboratory functions as needed. The populations served include neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. **Qualifications** Must have completed an approved two-year program in medical technology/clinical laboratory science or have equivalent knowledge as defined by federal/state regulations. Certification of MLT/CLT must be by a recognized certifying agency such as the National Credentialing Agency, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American Medical Technologist, or the Accrediting Bureau of Heath Education Schools. **Job** Laboratory **Primary Location** MINNESOTA-LITTLE FALLS-ST GABRIEL'S HOSPITAL **Daily Schedule** 8 hour shifts **Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period** 64 **Weekends Required** Every Other **Req ID:** 2017-R0126427
