Job Description:   **Dietitian, Healthy Lifestyle Center, Saint Joseph Hospital, PRN, Days** **Description** Position Summary: The Dietitian role for the Healthy Lifestyle Center is responsible for various group and individual – in person as well as virtual – nutrition coaching services to clients enrolled in Phase II traditional and intensive cardiac rehab program and Lifestyle Medicine Program. The dietitian develops programs to optimize metabolism and weight, improve fitness performance and achieve an overall sense of health and vitality. A Kentucky state Licensed Dietitian license is required. BLS is required. Patient teaching and counseling experience is required. Cardiac and Pulmonary rehab is preferred. Demonstrates a strong belief and behaviors consistent with the Saint Joseph HealthCare Mission and Core Values (Reverence, Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence). Must be proficient in both written and verbal communication and have excellent English language speaking skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with participants, referral sources and general community. Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills with compassion, empathy, and sensitivity to participants needs. Excellent public speaking skill and knowledge of adult education and coaching principals. Requires strong skills in reasoning, analysis and negotiation. Requires skill in Microsoft Office products as well as knowledge of scheduling and billing software. **Working Relationships:** The dietitian participates in interdisciplinary clinical meetings as needed and provides clinical updates to the Medical Director, referring physician, program director and to all members of the team. Works independently with minimal supervision and training. Has contact with patients and their families, the Healthy Lifestyle Center Department, and possibly dietetic interns. **Physical Requirements andEnvironmental Conditions:** Be capable of lifting objects up to 50 pounds and of performing tasks requiring hand-eye coordination. Be able to walk, stand, sit and drive extensively, hear and distinguish normal sounds and visually discriminate far and near objects.
