Job Description:   **Anesthesia Tech - Full Time (11:30pm - 7:00am)** **Description** **Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center** A quaternary care facility that is home of the Texas Heart® Institute, a world-class cardiovascular research and education institution founded in 1962 by Denton A. Baylor St. Luke’s is home to three freestanding community emergency centers (Holcombe, Pearland, and San Felipe) offering adult and pediatric care–treating more than 51,000 patients annually. The hospital holds a collaborative partnership with Baylor College of Medicine and affiliations with The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, The University of Texas Medical Branch (Galveston), Houston Baptist University, and Prairie View A&M University. **Position Summary** Performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist attending anesthesiologists, residents and nurse anesthetists in performing anesthetic procedures for patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics; Performs routine and delegated duties according to department policy. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** Education: High School Diploma/GED; Completion of an ASATT or CerAT approved educational program and passage within 12 months of hire or transfer into the position Experience: One (1) year of relevant work experience **Position Responsibilities:** 1. Assist anesthesia providers with physiological monitoring of patients, notifying the anesthesia providers of abnormal changes in vital signs and physical appearance of the patient 2. Clean anesthesia machines, monitors and equipment following procedures established by Infection Control 3. Stock anesthesia supplies in all anesthetizing locations, including ploss carts, fiber optic carts, emergency airway bags and any other anesthesia supply location 4. Obtain supplies and equipment as requested by anesthesia providers 5. Assist with patient laboratory tests and results, including but not limited to, ABGs, ACTs and other point of care tests 6. Obtain blood products and pharmaceuticals assisting with preparation and delivery; maintain immediate availability to assist in routine and emergency procedures **Job** Allied Health **Primary Location** TEXAS-HOUSTON-ST LUKES MEDICAL CENTER **Daily Schedule** 11:30pm - 7:00am **Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period** 80 **Weekends Required** Occasional **Req ID:** 2017-R0122919
