Job Description:   **Certified Central Sterile Technician - Operatin Room (M-F, 7am-3pm) Full Time** **Description** Under the direction of the Supervisor and/or Director of Perioperative Services, the Central Sterile Technician is responsible for the collection, decontamination, assembly and sterilization of medical equipment and surgical trays needed by the OR and the other nursing units. Follows proper procedures for collecting, receiving, cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilizing instruments and equipment. Understands the principles of sterilization and decontamination and procedures for processing various types of equipment and instruments used. Proficiently implements these procedures and their related PI monitoring functions. Pulls supplies for scheduled cases according to physician preference cards. Stocks and replaces special supplies ordered for Perioperative Department. Proficiently utilizes equipment provided for each step of instrument processing procedure. **Qualifications** + Two years Sterile Processing experience required **Job** Patient Care Support **Primary Location** TEXAS-LAKE JACKSON-BRAZOSPORT REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM **Daily Schedule** FTE **Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period** 72 **Weekends Required** Every Other **Req ID:** 1700000262
