Job Description:   **CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST I (SV INFIRMARY), CARDIAC CATH LAB, FULL TIME, 6A-430P** **Description** JOB SUMMARY: Provide healthcare services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Adheres to and supports with department radiation safety policies. Assists physicians in performing diagnostic angiography and interventional procedures. Responsible for maintaining sterile field and accurately monitoring and reporting patients’ hemodynamic status throughout the procedure. Supports Room Coordinator in various roles related to inventory management, process improvement, accurate patient billing, and continuous quality improvement. Supports additional organizational training needs related to patient safety and process efficiency. Other task as assigned. **Qualifications** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Registered allied health professional in radiology, cardiovascular technology or has passed an advanced Cardiovascular Registry through either ARRT or CCI (RCIS) preferred Experience: Two years cath lab experience preferred. Physical Requirements: This job requires, at various times, the following physical activities; climbing, balancing, stopping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, carrying, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing, sometimes exerting in excess of 20-100 pounds of force. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform daily activities. May be subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to high heat and chemicals), infectious diseases, and may be required to function around prisoners and mental patients. Skills: Able to use complex imaging equipment and computers.
