Job Description:   **STERILE PROCESSING TECH (SV HOT SPRINGS), CENTRAL STERILE PROCESSING, PRN, VARIES** **Description** JOB SUMMARY: Clean, decontaminate, prepare and assemble surgical instrumentation and related equipment, used by surgical services and other clinical departments. **Qualifications** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School diploma, GED or Metropolitan Test or equivalent. Must become certified within one year from date of hire. Experience: Minimal knowledge of surgical supplies, instruments and equipment. Physical Requirements: This job requires, at various times, the following physical activities; climbing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, carrying, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, talking, and hearing. Must be able to handle in excess of 50 pounds. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform daily activities. The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to chemicals), and infectious diseases. Skills: Able to read and comprehend written material of moderate complexity, write with acceptable clarity and make arithmetic computations; demonstrate positive guest relations/communication skills.
