Job Description:   **STERILE PROCESSING TECH (SV HOT SPRINGS), CENTRAL STERILE PROCESSING, FULL TIME, DAYS** **Description** JOB SUMMARY: Clean, decontaminate, prepare and assemble surgical instrumentation and related equipment, used by surgical services and other clinical departments. **Qualifications** **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** **Education:** **High School diploma, GED or Metropolitan Test or equivalent. Must become certified within one year from date of hire.** **Experience:** **Minimal knowledge of surgical supplies, instruments and equipment.** **Physical Requirements:** **This job requires, at various times, the following physical activities; climbing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, carrying, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, talking, and hearing. Must be able to handle in excess of 50 pounds.** **The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform daily activities.** **The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to chemicals), and infectious diseases.** **Skills:** **Able to read and comprehend written material of moderate complexity, write with acceptable clarity and make arithmetic computations; demonstrate positive guest relations/communication skills.
