Job Description:   **Lead Biomedical Repair Technician** **Description** **Job Summary:** With minimal supervision, this position provides assistance to the Account Manager in administering the daily operations of the shop. This position provides repair, incoming inspection, calibration and maintenance services to equipment in a healthcare environment. **Essential Duties** : + Interacts daily with hospital department managers, equipment users, physicians and administrative staff concerning service and usage issues. + Performs significant preventive maintenance/safety tests for medical equipment. + Provides medical equipment repair and documentation, for medical equipment. Perform BMET II and Senior BMET duties and functions as required. + Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders received and/or finished. + Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of equipment. + Provides coverage and support for account manager during manager’s absence. + Communicates daily with Account Manager and provides input regarding new service opportunities within a location serviced by the Clinical Engineering Department. + Supervises and provides support and assistance to Clinical Engineering technicians in daily operations. + Must keep up-to-date on technological and medical advances. Must maintain up-to-date understanding of The Joint Commission, NFPA and other regulatory agencies/standards. **Qualifications** **Education / Accreditation / Licensure** (required & preferred): + Associate’s Degree in a related field required. + Bachelor’s Degree preferred. + Certification preferred. **Experience** (required and preferred): + Minimum of five years of experience as a senior technician.
