Job Description:   **EKG Tech, ICU, Saint Joseph Mount Sterling, Nights, Full Time** **Description** Position Summary: Performs electrocardiograph examinations, stress tests and other related examinations. Performs designated patient care duties in the Heart Institute Procedure Lab (HIPL) under direction of an HIPL RN. Transports patients as neede for HI and HIPL. Retrieves supplies and non-narcotic medications from Central Distribution and / or Pharmacy as needed. Monitors patients as directed and according to established standards and practices. Displays a positive image of Saint Joseph Hospital by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior toward patients, physicians, visitors, volunteers and other employees. Provides patient care/services based on identified needs/developmental level for all patient populations checked below; care/services may include assessment of individual patient needs; incorporation of age-specific characteristics in patient education, communication and planning; provision of individualized care relevant to patient needs; and recognition, monitoring and provision of interventions as appropriate. **Qualifications** Requirements: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent education.
